Level 2 Residential/Private Commercial Charger
50% cost match of EV charging equipment up to $250 maximum, and 50% up to $250 maximum for electric service installation (≤$500 Total)

Level 2 Public Charger
50% cost match of EV charging equipment cost and installation up to $2000 maximum

Level 3 DC Fast Charger
50% of EV charging equipment and installation costs up to $3,000 for 50-75kW maximum station output
50% of EV charging equipment and installation costs up to $5,000 for 76-149kW maximum station output
50% of EV charging equipment and installation costs up to $7,500 for 150 kW and above 
  • All equipment and installation costs are required to be submitted on one application.
  • Limit one rebate per consumer account per year.
  • Equipment must be new; used equipment does not qualify.
  • Photo of installed EVSE and circuit in service panel required.

Vehicle Exchange Colorado (VXC) Program

Vehicle Exchange Colorado (VXC) Program logo
The Vehicle Exchange Colorado (VXC) program helps income-qualified Coloradans recycle and replace their old or high-emitting vehicles with electric vehicles (EVs). The VXC rebate will partially cover the upfront cost of the EV at the time of purchase or lease from an authorized automobile dealer.

Program Details

Eligible Colorado residents can receive the following rebate amounts for a qualified electric vehicle purchase or lease (note: a lease term must be a minimum of two years).

New electric vehicle (BEV or PHEV): $9,000
Used electric vehicle (BEV or PHEV): $6,000

Note: These VXC rebate amounts for eligible electric vehicles are effective November 3, 2025. These new rebate amounts are NOT retroactive; and are NOT post-sale rebates.

State of Colorado EV Tax Credit

Colorado taxpayers are eligible for a state tax credit of $5,000 for the purchase or lease of a new EV on or after July 1, 2023 with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) up to $80,000. Lease agreements must have an initial term of at least two years. Beginning January 1, 2024, Coloradans purchasing an EV with an MSRP up to $35,000 will be eligible for an additional $2,500 tax credit.
